Is it Possible to Build a Business Using One Ecosystem Like Odoo ERP?
Odoo Online – unfortunately, not ideal for companies in Poland. It lacks support for Polish tax formats (e.g., JPK) and local accounting standards.
Odoo.sh - with a larger investment and additional modules, it becomes a viable option.
So, What’s the Catch? The main issues lie in the gap between the SaaS and self-hosted versions. Let’s simplify it based on the core programs every company needs:

Biggest Challenges with Implementing Odoo Online for Polish Companies:
🔴 Limited logic for civil law contracts – contracts like B2B, freelance, or employment agreements lack proper handling.
🔴 Incomplete tax logic – JPK VAT reports do not comply with Polish accounting requirements.
🔴 Accounting compliance – not all standards are followed, such as double-booking foreign invoices.
All other modules (except Accounting and Payroll) perform flawlessly. Even better, the modules are fully connected, and real-time reporting is available across all areas. This makes Odoo ERP a compelling all-in-one business software for companies looking for integration and transparency.
What About the Other Modules?
We use a wide range of Odoo applications: project management, website management, CRM, invoicing, document workflows, knowledge base, marketing automation, e-learning, surveys, sales, and reporting.
We solved the accounting and payroll issue by partially outsourcing these processes to external tools outside of Odoo. We reported our full experience to the Odoo team—they are working on it, but after speaking with local partners in Poland, the feedback we received was rather pessimistic about solving these issues in the near future.

One of the standout features is Odoo Spreadsheets—similar to Excel, but with live data from any app inside the system. It simplifies ad-hoc analysis tremendously.
Then there are the Dashboards—you can build your own, or use Odoo’s ready-made reports to monitor key business metrics like sales performance, cost tracking, time logs, and project progress—all without needing third-party tools.
